LI, Han
Li Han is a partner at Harden & Wells. She received her LL.M degree from American University Washington College of Law, her second LL.M degree from Hong Kong City University School of Law, her LL.B from China University of Political Science and Law. Ms. Li is admitted to the Chinese bar.
Ms. Li was the deputy director of the Economic Law Department, the Legal Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. She participated in the drafting or revision of more than 20 national laws, such as Company Law, Maritime Law, Aviation Law, Products Quality Law, Environmental Protection Law, Bankruptcy Law, and Industrial Enterprise Law. Furthermore, she also worked as an assistant judge at Haidian District Court of Beijing for 1 year. Before joining Harden & Wells, Ms. Li previously practiced law about two years at Baker & McKenzie's Hong Kong office.
Ms. Li practices in the field of Corporate; Direct Investment; Product Liability; International Arbitration; Litigation; Alternative Dispute Resolution; mergers & acquisitions; Environmental Protection.
Ms. Li has represented dozens of major U.S. and Chinese multinational corporations engaged in arbitration or litigation alleging breach of contract, fraud, tortuous interference with contract, and has particular expertise in product liability. Ms. Li regularly has primary counsel responsibility for the defense involving commercial tort and product liability claims. The products involved vary from automobile, computer, electrical appliance, electronic component, and printing machine to foodstuffs and cigarettes.
In addition, Ms. Li has been invited to be a consular of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), she was the member of the drafting group of product recall, and until now Ms. Li often presents numerous speeches in the seminar or conferences organized by the AQSIQ.
Ms. Li is the Member of The Maritime Law Association; Member of the China Law Association; Member of the Regulatory Committee of All China Lawyer Association; Deputy Director of the Regulatory Committee of Beijing Lawyer Association; the Chairperson of the Product Liability Law Committee and the Vice-Chairperson of the Special Committee of Beijing Lawyer¡¯s Association.
Ms. Li has co-authored many professional books regarding company law, maritime law, and product liability law.
