WANG, Hui
Mr. Wang is a partner at Harden & Wells. He received an LL.M. degree from the Law School of University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1998 and a Bachelor of Law degree from Peking University in 1984.
Mr. Wang started his legal career in 1984, first working in the Legal Affairs Division of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and then switching to the Trade Mark Agency Section of the same Council. During his work in the Council, his responsibilities were to issue certificates for origin of exported commodities, to conduct notarization and authentication for foreign-related economic and trade documents, to issue certificates for the occurrence of events of force majeure, to undertake domestic registration of foreign trademarks, and to decide trademark infringement cases. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Wang held the position of Director of the Legal Affairs Division.
In 1993, Mr. Wang participated in founding King & Wood Law Firm and served a term of the managing partner of King & Wood.
Mr. Wang¡¯s principal practice areas include domestic and international commercial arbitration and litigation, foreign investment, intellectual property, real estate, securities, bank credit loans, auctions, guarantees, agency, mortgage and pledges. He has been acting as legal counsel for a dozen of multinational corporations, advising on various aspects of foreign direct investment in China, such as fixing the investment program, selecting the co-partner, preparing relevant legal documents, establishing the Chinese-foreign joint ventures, transfer of equity interests as well as dissolution and liquidation.
Mr. Wang Hui is the Chairperson of the International Investment Law Committee and a member of the Member¡¯s Affairs Committee of Beijing Lawyer¡¯s Association.
